Looking to put a set of functional and nicer looking handguards on your Ducati Hypermotard 698? The stock handguards on these bikes are cheap plastic, don't look very good, and are also attached directly to the expensive Brembo clutch and brake assemblies, which could make them vulnerable to damage if you ever hit something with the handguards. Additionally, since the handguards are attached directly to the clutch and brake assembly, you can only adjust your lever angle so much because the handguards move with them and sometimes end up pointed down towards the ground if you like your levers angled down like we do.
We've found a solution to all these issues with our Armor or PRO Armor Handguard Package by Zeta Racing. This handguard package is based exactly on what we've installed on our 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 698 Project Bike. This package consists of our very popular and durable aluminum Armor or PRO Armor Handguards (from Zeta Racing), a pair of Zeta's 2-piece handlebar clamps in the 1 1/8" size, and also a pair of Zeta XC plastic protectors in Black or White that screw to the front of the aluminum handguards.
Differences between Standard Armor and PRO Armor handguards:
Standard Armor available in anodized Black, Titanium Silver or Red
PRO Armor available in anodized Black or Titanium Silver
PRO Armor feature durable plastic bumpers to protect outer handguard body
PRO Armor Include longer / stronger bar end inserts to hold the handlebar tighter
Fitment: 2024+ Ducati Hypermotard 698
INSTALLATION NOTE: Depending on where your stock clutch/brake levers were positioned on the handlebars at the factory/dealership, you may need to loosen the lever assemblies, then move them in further on the handlebars, and also angle them down slightly, that way there is clearance between the clutch/brake lever assemblies and the handguards. The stock levers on the Hyper 698 are long, and the Brembo master cylinders stick out quite a bit, so you may have to play around with positioning them. On our project bike, we moved the levers in about 1/4" on the handlebars, and we have the levers angled down slightly to where we would normally have them.

This handguard package comes with black or white plastic protectors that screw to the front of the aluminum handguards. We decided to have some Ducati Red vinyl graphics custom made to fit those plastic protectors, with "Hyper" script in black (click to see photo). Choose this option from the selection dropdown to get a pair of the decals with your order. You will have to apply them to the protectors, which is very simple. These seem to look best when applied to the black plastic protectors.
What Brett from SRmoto has to say... Right off the bat I wasn't a big fan of the stock plastic handguards. They don't offer much in the way of protection, and aren't the nicest looking, plus they are attached to the expensive Brembo master cylinders on both sides which makes them vulnerable in a drop. I also like to angle my clutch and brake lever slightly downward, and with the handguards attached there, they move along with the levers, and end up pointed down at the ground. We use our Zeta Armor and PRO Armor handguards on several of our project bikes, and luckily were able to get them to fit up to our Hyper 698 pretty easily. They look much better than the stock guards, plus they are actually functional and will offer good protection!
